Mrs. Christina Karmecy

I love being CVE's elementary school counselor! Prior to joining the CVE team, I worked for six years as an elementary school counselor at South Side Area School District in Hookstown, PA.  I have an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management from Point Park University and a M.Ed. in School Counseling from Slippery Rock University.  I am also a National Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors.

The elementary years are an integral time in students' lives as they are rapidly learning about themselves and the world around them.  A school counselor provides resources and skills in the areas of personal/social, academic, and career development.  Proactive and preventative information is presented to students through classroom lessons, small group counseling, and individual meetings.  Throughout the year, students will gain a "tool box" of skills to use so they can achieve at his or her highest ability during the school day and at home.
