Active Floor

Connoquenessing Valley Elementary School is on the forefront of twenty-first century learning and STEAM education by providing our students with a learning environment called Inspiration Station. This learning environment has a dedicated learning space for the Active Floor, and it provides students with experiences promoted to developing their capabilities and proficiencies within the twenty-first century learning framework including digital literacy, critical thinking skills, problem-based learning, creativity, and collaboration. The Active Floor is a fun and interactive learning tool that transforms any floor into an engaging educational playground. Students play various learning games by using their feet. Games can be customized to support what the students are learning in the classroom. Designed to support whole body learning, the Active Floor combines movement with auditory, visual, and kinetic experiences to create a dynamic environment where students learn through play.
